Oodi College courses produce graduates

14 Mar 2017

Parliament has been informed that there are no academic fields/courses which have not produced graduates to date at Oodi College of Applied Arts and Technology.

This was said by the Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology, Dr Alfred Madigele in response to a question from MP for Mochudi West, Mr Gilbert Mangole on Monday.

MP Mangole had wanted to know the number of graduation ceremonies held for the Oodi College of Applied Arts and Technology since its inception and the number of students per respective academic field graduated in each academic year. He also asked whether there are any academic fields/courses which have not produced graduates to date and if so, he wanted the minister to state the reasons why.

In response, the minister said Oodi College held three graduation ceremonies since its inception in 2012.

These were during the annual Joint Technical Colleges and Brigades graduation ceremonies in 2014, 2015 and 2016, he added.

Dr Madigele further told the House that the overall number of students who graduated per academic field in 2014, 2015 and 2016 is 254. ENDS
