Re-construction of A3 underway

Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Kitso Mokaila has told Parliament that maintenance and re-construction of Francistown-Maun A3 road will be prioritised during 2017/18 financial year,
Responding to a question from Nata/Gweta Member of Parliament, Mr Polson Majaga who wanted to know if the minister was aware that the A3 road had reached its lifespan and was long overdue for maintenance and when it would be reconstructed, Mokaila asserted that he was aware that the road had reached its lifespan and was long overdue for maintenance.
However, he noted that the ministry initially had no plans to reconstruct the road under National Development Plan 11 due to budgetary constraints but had resolved to re-prioritise its maintenance and re-construction in the coming financial year. ENDS
