No passport withdrawn

The Ministry of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs has withdrawn only one identity card in Selibe Phikwe in the period 2016/2017, awaiting decision on choice of citizenship by the individual.
This was said by the Minister of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs, Mr Edwin Batshu when responding to a question in Parliament last week.Mr Batshu said no passport had been withdrawn or confiscated in Selebi Phikwe during the said period. Selebi-Phikwe West MP, Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse had wanted the minister to state the number of people whose national identity cards or passports were withdrawn or confiscated in Selebi Phikwe, and to state the reasons.
