01 Mar 2017
BotswanaPost has partnered with Botswana Netball Association (BONA) through a ‘Themed Stamped Issue’ that will commemorate the Netball World Youth Cup 2017 (NWYC) to be hosted by Botswana in July.
A press release from BotswanaPost says NWYC 2017 will go a long way in creating legacy for Botswana as a country and Africa.
According to the release, Africa will be hosting the NWYC games for the first time since its inception in 1988.
BotswanaPost says they are proud to create a legacy that will speak for the country in many years to come, given that it will forever remain in the history books of the NWYC and the International Netball Federation that Botswana marked the NWYC 2017 Games with a stamp that will remain distinctive.
Furthermore, the release says the NWYC 2017 stamp issue is being released to celebrate, to mark a historic milestone and to be an ambassador of Botswana to the entire world.
It says also BotswanaPost prides itself in a stamp as one of the traditional products on offer at the post office.
“For the time immemorial, the stamp has remained relevant and critical to the existence of a post office in the communications industry the world over,” says the release.
Meanwhile, the NWYC 2017 Stamp will be released and officially launched on May 19, to mark 50 days countdown to the games. ENDS
