One can never fail if they know what they want and  determined to have it despite the circumstances that come their way.

These words were said by Mr Ketlabareng Masilonyane, who got assistance from Poverty Eradication Programme to pursue his tyre service business in 2015.

The Digawana-born entrepreneur, who now resides in Ramotswa with his other family members, studied Auto Mechanics at Tswelelopele Brigade in Ramotswa in 2000.

After completing his studies at Tswelelopele Brigade, he survived by getting temporary jobs which sustained him for a while.

Before he could get to the finishing line, to reap the fruits of his hard work, reality shook him when his leg was amputated after a train accident in 2012.

“It was the worst moment of my life, I thought it was the end of me, I felt shattered without hope,” he explained.

Against all odds, he is grateful to Poverty Eradication Programme for being his saving grace, citing the situation as a blessing in disguise because now he is doing what he is passionate about, working for himself.

Due to the circumstances that nearly killed his dream, the 43-year-old man now believes that nothing comes easy in life, explaining that everyone has to work hard to reach the finishing line.

However, he faces some financial difficulties to buy some equipment for his tyre services garage, because the equipment needed to complete the work do not come cheap.

Due to his condition, he has also bought himself some tools like tyre changer, which favour him to work out his magic at the best.

Nonetheless, he has faith in progression of his business, believing that it is going to grow big one day.

Mr Masilonyane said one of the most important rule in business is to have good relations with clients and to supply them with the best service so that they do not hesitate to come back.

He advises people to stop letting their situations hold them captive and to have a mind to think out of the box and pursue their dreams. ENDS
