Botswana’s 800m runner, Boitumelo Masilo has entered into a special partnership with Easy Escape Travel and Tours.

Easy Escape Travel and Tours will help Masilo with training gear and other necessary equipment that might help him to excel in the world of athletics.

The company’s manager, Kebalatetse Kebalatetse said in an interview that they found it prudent to help Botswana’s 800m rising star.

As a company, he said they were also inspired by Masilo’s achievements like qualifying for the 2016 Rio Olympic.

Currently, Kebalatetse said they had bought him training gear and tracksuits.

He said they were of the view that they should play a role in the development of talent.

“What I have realised is that the aim of  giving back, is to develop and empower. By  so doing, we are empowering Masilo so that in future he can empower other upcoming athletes,” he said.

Also, he said their desire was to see the athlete successful in his endeavour of qualifying for the IAAF World Championships.

What they had done already, he said  would help him to do his assisgnments with pride and dignity.

Furthermore, he said he would introduce Masilo to his partners, to see how best they could also help him, as that would help him to be the best athlete he aspire to be.

“Now, we expect him to give his all on track, and make the country proud, as he has always done, we are not doing this for fun,” he said

For his part, Masilo said lack of training gear could be a challenge for any athlete.

For any athlete to bring good results, he said they needed to train extensively, with special type of training gears such as spikes,  and other training essentials.

He said not all Batswana athletes afford to have special training gear more especially if they did not have sponsors.

He said he was happy to be associated with Easy Escape Travel and Tours and promised not to disappoint them.

“I think I am now motivated to even do better on track. I am very happy that they found it fit to partner with me. And I will not disappoint them,” he said. ENDS
