12 Jun 2013

Palapye councilors have been informed that using wrong products can lead to skin problems.

Addressing councilors during the ongoing Palapye sub council meeting, Legae beauty clinic beautician Ms Kago Rasekgantsho said using wrong products has some side effects which can lead to skin problems such as pigmentation and bruises.

She said it was important for councilors to visit beauty clinics to identify their skin types and get advise on the right products to use on their skins.

She stated that people should avoid using soap as it contained strong detergents that affect the skin, calling for the use of face wash, toner and moisturiser.

She also said it was important to protect skin from heat especially sunlight by applying moisturisers with sunscreen.

Legae beauty clinic provides a wide range of services which include beauty therapy, pedicure, manicure and massage.

She said beauty clinics were important as they gave an individual time for relaxation and to be pampered.

She further said it was important to cut nails, scrub and remove the hard layer under feet as it would help on relaxing legs and feet and make them smooth and attractive.

Touching on massage, she said it was not for leisure like people think, adding that it alleviated pain, reduced tension of muscles and improved blood circulation.

She said people experienced stress on a daily basis thus massage was good for reducing the chances of contracting diseases like stroke, heart attack and high blood pressure.

In addition she advised people to drink a lot of water, eat nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables and to avoid eating oily food. ENDS
