Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Thato Kwerepe has told Parliament that printing of the DailyNews was out-sourced 38 times since April 2008. Answering a question recently, Mr Kwerepe said Dikgang Publishing Company was one of the companies contracted to print the DailyNews and was paid a total of P3 390 157.63.

He said another company was Printing and Publishing Company (PPCB), which was paid a total of P28 255 524.95 for the service. Mr Kwerepe further stated that the printing of DailyNews had also been out-sourced to the two companies before 2008 because they were the only ones with the required capabilities.

MP for Selebi Phikwe West, Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse had asked the minister to state the number of times that printing of DailyNews was out-sourced since April 2008, and which companies were awarded the tenders and for how much.
