After the weekend results, Highlanders still occupy second position, while Motlakase now sits at the fourth position in the log.
The kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes after the lines men had forgotten their flags.
The game started on a low note with the host making several attempts to score but could not as Motlakase's goalkeeper, Kagiso Moganetsi thwarted all their efforts.
Moganetsi proved his worth with marvelous saves, as he did everything in his powers to stop Highlanders.
In the 17th minute into the game, Motlakase’s Kealeboga Oitsile scored the first goal of the match, which changed the momentum of the game.
On the 25th minutes Motlakase Thapelo Chabalala scored their second goal, which was also their last goal of the match, silencing Highlanders supporters who had thronged the grounds to support their team.
This did not seat well with Highlanders players as they continued to fight with everything they had, and were rewarded on the 30th minute, when they scored their first goal through Mompati Motshodi.
The two went for break with Motlakase leading 2-1.
In the early seconds of second half, Highlanders Agisanyang Ramaabya leveled matters, by scoring their second and final goal of the match.
Motlakase's coach, Mogotsi Agang said in an interview that his team lost concentration after scoring the second goal, adding that it was a very difficult game. However, he said pocketing a point was better than nothing.
Highlanders coach, Oris Radipotsane said though they nearly lost the game, he was glad that they still maintained the same position. Radipotsane pointed out that they would intensify their training. BOPA
