Five schools conduct classes outside
15 Feb 2017
There are currently five schools that conduct classes outside classrooms in Gabane-Mmankgodi constituency. Answering a question in Parliament on behalf of the Minister of Basic Education, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso said the schools are Lesirane, Metsimotlhabe, Monnye, Serameng and Tloaneng primary schools. She said although Lesirane has two classes which are taught outside, the school had already reached the maximum prescribed number of classrooms of 22. Again, Ms Tshireletso said for the current financial year, two classrooms had been constructed at Serameng Primary School through a donation by the Japanese Embassy in Botswana. MP for Gabane-Mmankgodi, Major General Pius Mokgware had asked the minister to state the number of schools in Gabane –Mankgodi constituency that still conduct classes outside classrooms and when and how this would be resolved.
