Parliament has been informed that Botswana and Zambia are in the process of procuring expertise to develop the terms and references to develop a frame work to establish the Kazungula Bridge Authority (KBA). Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Kitso Mokaila said request for proposals had been issued to the shortlisted companies, following the completed expression of interest exercise, and the deadline for submission is February 27. Answering a question from the Member of Parliament for Chobe, Mr Machana Shamukuni on Monday, Minister Mokaila noted that it was expected that once the procurement process had been completed, the process to establish the authority would begin. The Chobe legislator had asked the minister to update Parliament on progress made regarding the establishment of the Kazungula Bridge Authority. ENDS
