 Skilogee Academy in collaboration with Accuracy Group from South Africa will host an entrepreneurship seminar at Woodland Hotel in Gaborone on February 25.
The company founder, Mr Silent Gabanamotse said in an interview that the seminar is open to active entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs and will host other seminars in March and April.
Mr Gabanamotse said growing up in Kudumatse in the Central District and seeing various villagers idling with nothing to do to make a living and improve their lot in life was what got him fascinated.
He said he realised that there was no difference in the life of those working and those who were idle and he became curious and wanted to know why such was the case.
The 31-year-old entrepreneur said in his search for answers, he realised that people had little to no financial education and that was one of the many reasons why people remained poor even when they were gainfully employed.
With this in mind, he said he then created a Facebook page and called it BOTSWANA BUSINESS AND INVESTORS FORUM, a tool he said aimed to share and equip people with knowledge and ideas on financial matters.
In December 2016, he said he released an e-book titled Get Rich or Get Poorer and he was humbled by the positive feedback he got from people who engaged with him on Facebook and those who read it.
Still in 2016, Mr Gabanamotse, a general nursing degree holder from the University of Botswana (UB) said he founded a company called Skilogee Academy, which focused on equipping people with the right knowledge, strategies and motivation needed to build wealth.
The company, he said provides financial education materials such as online training courses, videos, books and seminars.
Apart from his Facebook group and e-book, he added he has a blog called www.skilogeeonline.wordpress.com and he attributes his motivation to the renowned American author and financial guru, Robert Kiyosaki. ENDS
