Mpote upbeat ahead of second meet

After losing 2-1 to Madagascar’s CNaPS Sport in a CAF champions league on Saturday in Antananarivo, Township Rollers are now re grouping to reverse the score line.
Rollers have a clear chance to proceed to the next round after scoring an important away goal, courtesy of Segolame Boy’s 63rd minute strike.
CNaPS goals were converted by Boueahim Jaotombo just before half time break and Rakotoharimalala Njiwa sealed the victory for his side.
However Rollers coach Mogomotsi Mpote is not bothered by the score margin, and he said in an interview that although they lost the game,  he was happy that his side managed to contain CNaPS the whole of first half.
He said both goals conceded were a blunder from his side, adding that in the next leg their intention would be to rectify all their mistakes.
Mpote further said although he had aimed for a win or a draw, the away goal might come in handy in their coming game.
Furthermore, the coach said he was confident that Rollers will win the game and proceed to the next round of the competition.
Mpote said his squad was intact, and it would be very difficult for the opponents to handle Township Rollers in their own turf, adding that he also observed that in the dying minutes of the game they were cramping and that was a clear sign that they were feeling his team’s pressure.
He said the most important thing for Rollers was to start the coming game at a high tempo.
“CNaPS is a good and mobile team, but we managed of course to handle them. I was impressed my team played well and stuck to our game plan. We were  unlucky as we could have scored two or three goals,” he said.
He said the twelfth player would come in handy and the way they pushed their opponents was what made him more confident that they would defeat CNaPS.
“Although it was hot that did not deter us to execute our play because we have been also training in a very hot condition preparing for the game. It was very hot in Antananarivo but it did not affect our players,” he said. ENDS
