08 Feb 2017
The Assistant Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Mr Biggie Butale says it is not true that Selebi Phikwe Economic Diversification Unit (SPEDU) has outsourced its public relations and marketing services.
Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, he explained that the organisation has only contracted an outside public relations and marketing company to complement its in-house resources. “
The contract for the services for external support of the SPEDU Public Relations and Marketing Office is P1 423 296. The cost includes the brand strategy development, internal and external communication, advertising and production of promotional material,” said Mr Butale.
He said the contract is for three years until May 2019. MP for Selebi Phikwe West, Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse had asked the assistant minister to explain why SPEDU has outsourced its public relations/ marketing services and to state the cost of its sourcing, the details of the services and the company employed for the same.
The assistant minister was also to state the duration of the contract and when it started. ENDS
