Young inmates receive toiletries

Jacob Ladder Church in Kanye has donated toiletry amounting to P10 000 to Moshupa Boys Prison on June 9.

Handing over the donation, chairperson of the church women’s committee Ms Mpho Loeto said the move waas meant to support  inmates to cope with the prison environment.

She said inmates also need love, support and commitment from members of the community.

Ms Loeto stated that their church wanted to rehabilitate inmates so that when they finish their term in prison they in turn become responsible citizens who can be welcomed by the society. 

She said as the women committee they feel pity for those young boys who are still to be moulded for their future.

She said ‘’Mmangwana o tshwara thipa ka fa bogaleng’’.

She further stated that most of the youth in Moshupa Prison are multi talented who need nurturing. 

For her part Pastor Ruth Lotshwayo appealed to inmates to love each other and always obey the role of god. She said they should not give up because the god is there for them. She encouraged them to read the holy bible.
