BFA transfer window closes

Botswana Football Association transfer window closed on Tuesday after registering a total of 87 players moving from one team to the other, while others were new registrations.

However in these  transfer window, Lobatse -based side Extension Gunners are the leading team in registering young players from development sides.

Gunners have registered Bofelo Thatoetsile, Ofentse Radikgakeng, Brian Mankanku, Baokeditswe Talane, both from development side, and the team coach Daniel Nare said in an interview that they found it prudent to sign youngsters after realisation that teams always fight for the same players.

“The market is very saturated you will find out that all the teams are interested in the services of Dirang Moloi and sometimes it inflate the prizes, just because we are all desperate for one player,” he said. He said as Gunners they have taken a firm stand to consider working very hard on development, adding also people should be cognisant that development is a process therefore they should not be  put  under pressure.

Gunners have also signed Katlego Mbise, Kenanao Khetholetsile, and Ofentse Mmipi from Gilport Lions,Moatlhodi Ralesotla from Gaborone United, while Zimbabwean Kudzani Machazani registration was still pending.

League contenders, Orapa United made a big catch by registering Gift Moyo and Nelson Moreetsi from Nico United. The duo arrived at their new home and fitted well

when they helped their side to dismantle Township Rollers in a Masco Top 8 game. Centre Chiefs who had been struggling upfront managed to complete the signing of goal poacher Jerome Ramatlhakwane from Don Bosco in DRC and his presence was felt in a BTC premiership game against Nico United when he scored a brace helping the Kgatleng giants to collect three maximum points.

Chiefs have also managed to sign   Mathew Nyamadzawo from Gilport,Kagiso Bodigelofrom Molepolole FC,Odirile Kgaodi from Tlokweng United,Gaopatwe Seosenyeng from Jwaneng Galaxy,Siamisang Kgosipula from Motlakase Power Dynamos,Karabo Setoutwe from Mochudi United,Absalom Lindibondi from Zimbabwe and  Kenalemang Neo and Katlego Koobake  from Gaborone United.

Nico United signed a total of 12 players, United Hotspurs of Mahalapye registered 10 players, Gaborone United signed six players, Miscellaneous, BDF XI, and Sankoyo Bush Bucks, made five signings each while Security Systems signed three. Township Rollers registered only one Edwin Olerile from Gaborone United.BOPA
