Lesanja Tyre Puncture is one of the remaining few businesses funded through the Youth Development Fund.
The business belongs to 33-year-old Mr Ontuetse Kenosi who has been able to face some business challenges through determination coupled with patience and self-motivation to reach his goals.
The business situated at Roadway filling station near Letlhakeng Police station and continues to provide services such as tyre changing and wheel balancing at the cost of P30 each.
Mr Kenosi said his business dates back to 2009 through self-funding, when he used to offer such services manually. He explained that he developed passion for this type of business at a young age and it was after failing his junior certificate that he decided to turn his passion into something worthwhile.
“I have not worked in any tyre fixing workshop before, but I developed the skill by just looking at how others do it. I mastered the skill I can now safely impart the kills to others,” he said.
Mr Kenosi was officially funded by YDF on expansion in 2014 to the tune of P94 000 and used the money to buy tyre changer, wheel balancer and compressor machine BOPA
