Funds online magazine in partnership with Disabled Entrepreneurs’ Society will host their first annual Botswana investors’ summit on April 29 at the University of Botswana auditorium.

Speaking in an interview with BOPA recently, the magazine’s founder Letsogile Basupi said the summit panel will be hosted by potential investors, business mentors and experienced financial experts under the theme, ‘Igniting the spark of entrepreneurship’.

He said the main objective of the summit is to inspire and offer an insightful dispatch on the available finance and investment opportunism for Batswana.

“There is an information gap existing amongst majority of Batswana on the requirements, how and where to access funding investment opportunities as many have brilliant business ideas but do not have start up and or business expansion funds ,that’s what we want to tackle through this summit”, he said.

Basupi further said the summit which has been endorsed by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development will see exhibitions by different financial institutions, brokers, medical aids, parastatals and insurances.

 “The summit will give attendees an opportunity to network, plan and present ideas directly to investors.

 I therefore call upon aspiring entrepreneurs, the youth and existing business men to attend this event,”he said.

Basupi said the summit comes after recommendations from previous funding expo attendees which was held in September 2016. ENDS
