15 Jan 2017
The opening games of Afcon 2017 all ended in a one all draw.
The host nation, Gabon, took the lead against Guinea-Bissau, who found an equaliser on stopage time with Juary Soares. Cameroon, which was expected to secure three points against Burkina Faso, missed a few opportunities after taking the lead in the 35minute through a well taken set piece by Benjamin Moukandjo. However, Issoufou Dayo equalised for the Burkinabe side 40 minutes on.
Meanwhile, Group B games kick off tonight with Algeria against Zimbabwe at 6pm, while the Tunisia and Senegal game kicks off at 9pm. END
