10 Jan 2017
The first ever beauty clinic business under the Youth Development Fund programme has been established in Bobonong.
Speaking in an interview recently, the 28-year-old Beauty Faces Beauty Clinic owner, Ms Nonofo Ndubiwa said her business started operating early November 2016.
She said she was inspired by various factors to come up with such a business idea for a village.
She mentioned that she wanted to be the first person to introduce the beauty clinic in a village adding that being unique in any business was something to be proud of.
She also added that her business would also compliment the new developments of Bobonong.
Ms Ndubiwa highlighted that though her business is a new thing to Bobonong community, this did not in any way affect her because she had since got positive response from the residents.
She added that she had since worked with various groups of people for different occasions and individuals on daily basis.
She mentioned that as a way of helping government to combat the unemployment rate, she had managed to hire two helpers and that she would like to hire more employees as soon as her business grows.
She further noted that her beauty clinic offers services such as facials like deep cleansing, all hair services, nail care manicure and pedicure included, body massage, waxing and eye services such as doing eyebrows amongst others.
Although her business is new, she said she had already faced challenges prior to her business operation.
She mentioned that it was really hard to find a place suitable for operating her business, adding that she eventually managed to found a rental space for her business.
Another challenge, she said was that there were late deliveries for the equipment necessary for a beauty clinic adding that her business would have long started operating in March last year.
Ms Ndubiwa advised fellow youths to take government initiatives instead of just sitting at home and doing nothing mentioning that the initiatives could help improve their lives. She also called for communities to keep supporting local businesses. ENDS
