Gaborone United and Zebras attacking midfielder,  Mpho Kgaswane has secured a dream move to ABSA Premiership side Baroka FC in South Africa.

The 22-year-old former Uniao Flamingo Santos dribbler signed a three-year contract last week with the Limpopo-based team, which is struggling at the bottom of the ABSA Premiership standings.

GU public relations officer, Ernest Mosedame confirmed the move in an interview, stating that Kgaswane was sold for USD 25 000 (approximately P265 617).

“It is a done deal and he has signed a three-year contract. The agreement is that Gaborone United will get further 10 percent of the transfer fee if Baroka sell him,” Mosedame said on Friday.

Kgaswane joined GU in January 2015 and went on to win the Mascom Top 8 trophy with Moyagoleele that year.

He was in great form this campaign, scoring four goals in the BTC Premiership and once in the Mascom Top 8.

Mosedame further said fifth placed GU has acquared two Zambian strikers who impressed their technical team towards the end of last year during trials.

“We have agreed terms with them and are in the process of finalising the necessary paperwork regarding their registration,” he explained, adding that Moyagoleele was also in the hunt for three big name players currently doing duty in the local league.

Two of the players the GU mouthpiece was referring to are understood to be Orapa United captain, Thabang Mosige and Extension Gunners enterprising midfielder, Kutlwelo Mpolokang.  ENDS
