Ministry to improve text books levels

Assistant Minister of Basic Education Mr Moiseraela Goya says in his Ministry there is of shortage of text books at Goldmine and Montsamaisa Junior Secondary Schools.
Responding to a question in Parliament, Mr Goya admitted that Goldmine has 74.3 per cent of its requirements while Montsamaisa has 63.4 per cent of its requirements.
He said at Goldmine JSS, the most affected subjects are Computer Awareness and Music whilst at Montsamaisa Secondary School the most affected subjects are Moral Education, Guidance and Counselling, Computer Awareness, Commerce and
French.Mr Goya said his Ministry intends to improve text book levels in the schools early next year.
MP for Francistown South Mr Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the Minister if he was aware of an acute shortage of textbooks at Goldmine and Montsamaisa JSS and if so which subjects are mostly affected and to state plans to normalise the situation. ENDS
