With unemployment rates so rife in the country, the youth are doing all it takes to stay aloft.

Establishment of the Youth Development Fund (YDF) ignited a number of them to introduce themselves to the world of business.

In an interview, Ms Bogadi Sanoto (29) said YDF was a blessing because it enabled her to set up a laundry business.

The business called Miss Bee Laundrunet Services, was opened in December 2013 with financial support from the Youth Development Fund (YDF) and her mother in Bobonong and it has created employment to two young people.

Located in Bobonong Mall at Auntie Dorah’s complex, her business specialises in laundry and dry cleaning services and provides cleaning service to all kinds of clothing materials using washing machines.

 Ms Sanoto’s business also polishes leather and suede shoes as well as dry clean suits and jackets at affordable prices, noting that she prides herself as an exceptional cleaner.

She says washing laundry everyday was her norm and reminisces on how her mother used to complain saying, “o fetsa molora ka go tlhatswa malatsi otlhe”, she narrated.

According to Ms Sanoto her mother was her role model and has always been in the business field for a long time.

When highlighting what sets apart her business from the competition, she said it was “commitment to provide professional, friendly, prompt and convenient service” which has in turn earned her more customers.

“Miss Bee Laundrunet Services has progressed and continues to grow every day and makes me think big as I desire to open up a new branch in any of Bobirwa areas, also the need to increase the number of employees and provide more services” she said.
 

She observed all businesses have numerous challenges, “but all you have to do was to strive forth in order to be more successful” while encouraging the youth not to give up in life as there were many opportunities to make a living.

Ms Sanoto also urges them to take advantage of the YDF programme. ENDS
