Parties submit petition

Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Eric Molale has told Parliament that his office has received the petition against the introduction of Electronic Voting Machine from Umbrella for Democratic Change(UDC) and Botswana Congress Party(BCP) .

He said the petition has been received and noted, adding that Parliament has approved and passed the Electoral Amendment Act No.10 of 2016.

“If the Hourable Member wishes to take issue with the introduction of the Electronic Voting Machine he must follow the laid down procedure relating to amendment of the law,” he said.Selebi Phikwe West, Member of Parliament Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse has asked the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, if he had received a petition from UDC and BCP against the introduction of Electronic Voting Machine, and what he has  done about the issue.
