Pula Fund amounts to P55.8 billion

The Pula Fund had a balance of P55.8 billion as at November 18, 2016, Minister of Finance and Economic Development Mr Kenneth Matambo explained recently.
He also told Parliament that the Fund had increased to P64.4 billion in May, but the money decreased as a result of net foreign currency outflows to purchase foreign goods and services.
Furthermore, combined impact of market and currency movements, led to the decrease of the Fund, according to the minister.
He was responding to a question from Francistown East MP Mr Buti Billy, who had asked the minister to state how much has been drawn from the Pula Fund and for what purposes. ENDS
