Constituency tournament unveils new rules regulations

Constituency football tournament has released new play rules and regulations in the last cycle of the year to provide guidance and foster compliance to the tournament to ensure fair play and honesty.

This was said by programmes officer  Matlhomola Kebifetswe of department of youth,arts and culture in Bobonong under Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Culture during a briefing of these rules to Bobonong constituency football tournament teams in Bobonong recently.

Kebifetswe said the new rules and regulations have got article one up  to 20. He said article 1 explains how the games must be played. Kebifetswe said article two contains the laws of the the games.

He said in article three is all about registration and transfers of the players in a tournament."Article 4 is the entry qualifications while article 5 is the organisation of the competition", he said.

Kebifetswe said article six talks about qualification to the next level in a tournament.He said  article seven is about general misconduct and article eight is formation of structures in a tournament.

"Article 9 tells about disputes and resolutions commitees and  how diputes are resolved in a tournament,” he said.He said in article 10 is withdrawal and penalty for failing to honour games.

Kebifetswe said article 11 it is about substitutions and and awarding of cards."Article 12 is all about how protests are done in a tournament," he said.

He said article 13 is about documents forgery of evidence while article 14 tells about how matches are played in accordance with the laws of the game.

Kebifetswe said article 15 talks about team colours and 16 explains about referees and assistant referees.

"Article 17 talks about gate takings if applicable and 18 about ceremonies at the national level", he said.He said no team, individuals and committee shall modify, use or develop its own set of the rules other than the ones captured on the current edition.

He encouraged teams to read and understand these rules and regulations so they can obey them and if they do not understand some they should come to their office for clarification.

Kebifetswe also asked teams to fill the forms that the teams claims their funds with correctly and attach the relevant documents so that they can be paid quickly . ENDS
