Assistant Minister of Basic Education, Mr Moiseraele Goya says Sua and Nxakado junior secondary schools in the Nata-Gweta constituency were last maintained in the 2014-2015 financial year while Kutlwano and Dukwi are planned for the 2017-2018 financial year and 2018-2019 respectively.
He said he was also cognisant that junior secondary schools in the area were in need of additional classrooms and houses.
Furthermore, he said all junior secondary schools in the constituency were programmed for additional classrooms in phase II of the Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) in 2017/2018 and would be considered for additional housing in phase III.
Nata-Gweta Member of Parliament, Mr Polson Majaga had asked the minister if he was conscious that all junior secondary schools in the Nata–Gweta constituency were not included or funded under the Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) for renovations and maintenance. He also said there was a serious shortage of classrooms and teachers’ houses at Dukwi, Kutlwano, Sua and Nxakado junior secondary schools.ENDS
