The Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele, says CEDA financed 399 enterprises across all districts during the 2015/16 financial year creating 2954 jobs.

He said no projects were financed in CKGR, D’kar, Kuke, Grootelaagte and Qabo with a total of six projects funded within the Ghanzi township only.

Responding on behalf of the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Mr Makgalemele said the projects were financed at a total value of P4.4 million across the country.

The assistant minister said LEA trained 673 participants on entrepreneurship awareness, 13 participants on trade show readiness, 11 participants on intellectual property and 14 participants on occupational health and safety at Ghanzi branch.

He said these were not categorised in to whether they were from Ghanzi North or South.

MP for Ghanzi North, Mr Noah Salakae had asked the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry to state the number of enterprises financed by CEDA in the year 2015/16

He asked how many were from Ghanzi Township, CKGR, D’kar, Kuke, Grootelaagte and Qabo respectively and their monetary value by district.

Mr Salakae also asked the number of jobs created as a subsequence and the number of entrepreneurs trained by Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) in the Ghanzi North Constituency during the Financial Year 2015/2016.BOPA
