New coach to help develop tennis talent

The Francistown School of Tennis has brought in a new head coach from France to drill local tennis talent.
Presenting him before the media at Francistown club, Francistown School of Tennis director, Dominique Raguin said the new head coach, Yann Grizaud has enormous international experience on the sport.
Raguin said they saw it fit to recruit Grizaud to be the head coach to develop local coaches and tennis players into international level and standards.
Raguin said in the country, coaches had limited experience in coaching at an international level and this would benefit the local coaches as they would be able to learn from him on daily basis.
He said the new head coach would be based in Francistown and was expected to transform the club.Grizaud said he had seen a lot of potential in students.
However, he said there was a lot to be done to devlop them to the level of international standards.
Grizaud, who is certified for high coaching by the French Tennis Federation, has more than 30 years of experience in the sport of tennis.
He has coached players like Richard Gasquet, who became number one junior in the world and Marianne Giraud, who become number 38 junior in the world and on the International Junior Circuit, participating in the junior grand slams as well as Europe and World Junior Championships. BOPA
