Mental physical wellbeing vital in life

The Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security, Patrick Ralotsia says mental and physical wellbeing are a step forward to change youth’s lifestyle.
Speaking during the Kanye Summer Games 2016 in Kanye over the weekend, Ralotsia, who is also Member of Parliament for Kanye North said healthy living was about taking responsbility and making smart health choices today to avoid diseases and stress of tomorrow.
He reiterated that eating right, getting physically fit and spiritual wellness make a healthy lifestyle.
‘’Other lifestyle factors that increase your risk of diseases include overindulging in alcohol and environmental factors such as pollution and smoking,” he said.
He encouraged them to stop smoking, eat high fibre and low fat foods, drink lots of fresh clean water and get plenty of exercise.
He said the landscape of Kanye was good for various sports activities.
He further implored residents to take advantage of it.
He said they wanted youth to be fit so that they could live longer and be good healthy future leaders.
Meanwhile, the games included team aerobics competitions, power lifting, treasure hunt, basketball, netball, polka dance, and tug of war.
Minister Ralotsia also took part in the aerobics and raised much needed awareness not only about the disease but also the services rendered by the aerobics team. BOPA
