Township Rollers started the league on a top gear when they beat South East Girl 2-0 in a Women Super League game played at Mma Masire Ground on Sunday.

The game started on a very high tempo with South East Girls dictating the pace of the game. The visitors were however let down by their finishing techniques more especially inside the box.
Had they shown Rollers little respect, they could have buried them in their own territory.

In the 36th minute, South East Girls could have opened the score sheet after Koketso Modisenyane unleashed a thunderbolt, but Rollers keeper Sedilame Bosija was equal to the task as she parried it out of the danger forcing a corner, which South East Girls failed to capitalise on.

The game went to recess with both side logged at 0-0. After break South East Girls continued to pile more pressure looking for an opening goal and in the 48th minute South East Girls Onkemetse Ratau squandered a golden opportunity when she had only the goalkeeper to beat.

Rollers managed to wake up from their slumber and in the 54th minute they were awarded a corner which was well taken by Refilwe Tholakelo and South East Girls failed to deal with it and it ended up being an own goal committed by their goalkeeper Obusitse Letebele.

The goal did not demoralise the South East Girls as they continued to move forward searching for an equaliser, but now Rollers were in a mission to fully defend their solo goal, hence it was difficult for the visitors to by pass the compact defence.

In the 74th minute, Rollers were awarded a free kick, just outside the 18th area and Masego Montsho did not waste time and scored a brilliant goal of the day to make it 2-0.

In other games played on Saturday, Gaborone United played to a one all draw against Lobatse-based, Meat Girls while the UB and Kanye Swallows game also failed to produce a winner after they played to a one all draw.

Prisons and   FC and  Ambassadors played to a 1-1, while Wonder Girls and  Makufa game was not played.

On Sunday Double Action defeated Big Sisters 10 -0. BOPA
