The Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Thato Kwerepe, has admitted to challenges of operational space for poverty eradication projects in the Jwaneng-Mabutsane constituency.
“It is true that operational space especially in Jwaneng area for projects such as bakery, music studios, paper mash, food processing and salon categories remain a challenge,” Mr Kwerepe said on Wednesday in Parliament, explaining that 137 projects for 153 beneficiaries in the constituency were affected.
Mr Kwerepe however, said he was not aware that poverty eradication projects on small stock, Tswana chickens, layers and leather works were not operational in the constituency.
Jwaneng-Mabutsane MP, Mr Shawn Ntlhaile had asked the assistant minister to state the number of projects not operational due to problems of operational space. ENDS
