The Assistant Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Mr Biggie Butale, has told Parliament that a total of 14 enterprises were registered under the Economic Diversification Drive (EDD) programme in Ghanzi North constituency during financial year 2014/2015.

He highlighted that out of the 14 enterprises, five were manufacturers, eight were service providers and one was in agricultural production. 

He said these enterprises had created 75 jobs, adding that all the 14 enterprises were from the Ghanzi township. 

Mr Butale noted that no enterprises were registered under the EDD programme in Grootelaagte, Qabo, D’kar, kuke and Central Kalahari Game Reserve during the same period. MP for Ghanzi North, Mr Noah Salakae had asked him how many enterprises had been registered under the EDD programme for the financial year 2014/15 in the Ghanzi North Constituency. 

He further asked him how many were from Ghanzi township, Grootelaagte, Qabo, D’kar, Kuke and CKGR respectively. BOPA
