Peril Notwane game ends in stalemate

Debswana First Division South top of the table clash between log leaders Notwane and second place Black Peril ended with a two-all draw on Saturday.
The game started at a high note with both clubs wanting to score an early goal, but the game was stopped in the 17th minute due to hailstorm. However, when the game resumed, Peril came more determined to open the score sheet.
On the 35th minute, Notwane keeper, Thabang Motlhabi made a blunder by trying to attack, in the process leaving his territory unguarded and Peril’s Nsuka Panzu to capitalise on the mistake and scored an opener to make it 1-0.
However, Mochacho’s celebrations was short-lived after Notwane was awarded a penalty just two minutes after Peril’s goal. Thato Goitsemang nearly broke the hearts of Notwane supporters after Peril keeper parried the ball inside play, but lady luck was on Goitsemang’s side and made a follow-up and equalised.
The game went into recess with the scoreboard reading 1-1, but eight minutes after break, Panzu scored Peril’s second goal, the goal did not demoralise Notwane, as they surged forward searching for an equaliser and their hard work paid dividends in the 65th minute when Brian Botsang headed in an equaliser.
Black Peril coach, Nelson Olebile said in an interview that the game was tough and he was happy that his players managed to show a lot of character during the entire game. He said despite fighting throughout the game, he was worried that they did not defend their lead well, hence their opponents managed to counter their goal.
“However, there is still a room for improvement in terms of how we defend, but none the less, we are taking the result home, we were away. We were playing against a team that has not lost a game and has not conceded any goal, but we have shown everybody that as Peril we score in all our games, “he said.
Conversely, Notwane coach, Kaelo Kaelo said Peril dominated the entire first half, but his side came back strong from recess and managed to equalise, although they collapsed a little bit towards the end of the game.
He said they had wanted to win the game at all cost given that they had not lost a single game since the start of the season. A draw to me is a drawback looking at the ambition of the club,” he said.
