Bobonong Stone Breakers football club, which is playing in the Selebi Phikwe regional division one league, is appealing for sponsorship from Bobonong business community and individuals.

This appeal was made by the team coach, Otukile Olebile, in an interview.

He said football teams played well when they had enough money that could be used to run the daily football club affairs such as office administration, playing equipment and transport.

Olebile said his team was ready to welcome any company, business or individuals who wanted to partner with them to take their team to the highest level such as playing in the elite league.

He also advised residents of Bobonong and Bobirwa villages to support teams that originated in their villages and give them a full support such as financial support or attending the games to cheer up the team.

Otukile said in some countries people were loyal to their home teams and they always showed them support with everything.

He gave example with South African teams such as  Amazulu, Platinum Stars, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, which enjoyed the support from their home based supporters. ENDS
