Jwana has one temporary teacher

The Minister of Basic Education, Dr Unity Dow has said there is only one teacher who is employed on temporary basis at Jwana Primary School in Jwaneng-Mabutsane constituency.

She stated that there are no temporary teachers at Dinonyane and Teemane primary schools.

Dr Dow also pointed out that the teacher on temporary basis has been employed from January 2016 to November 2016.

She further said presently, there is no intention to review the condition of service for the concerned temporary teacher.

She also explained that temporary teachers are recruited on permanent and pensionable terms on first come first serve basis as and when vacancies demand.

Member of Parliament for Jwaneng-Mabutsane, Mr Shawn Ntlhaile had asked the minister if she was aware of teachers who are still on temporary basis at Jwana, Dinonyane and Teemane Primary Schools.

He had also wanted to know how long they had been employed and when their conditions of service would be reviewed.
He had further wanted to know when would they be appointed on permanent and pensionable basis. ENDS
