RADP supports 21 students in Boteti East

Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso says 21 students who completed Form 5 in the past five years were supported by government under the Remote Area Development Programme (RADP) in the Boteti East Villages.
Responding to a question in Parliament, she said 14 students were assisted by government to further their studies and she indicated that she will make a list that indicates colleges and universities that they were admitted to.
She said some of the Form 5 completers were engaged in different activities like Tirelo Sechaba, LIMID projects and others, while others were unemployed.
Ms Tshireletso said 19 completers have been assisted to acquire employment under the Affirmative Action Framework for Remote Area Communities and details will also be provided.
MP for Boteti East, Mr Setlhomo Lelatisitswe had asked the assistant minister to state students who completed Form 5 in the past five years who have been supported by government under RADP or destitute programme in Boteti East.
MP Lelatisitswe also wanted to know the number of student per village and points obtained by each student and those that were assisted to further their studies and to which colleges/universities.
Also, the number of those that were assisted and what is being done to keep them going and those that have been assisted to acquire employment under the Affirmative Action Programme. ENDS
