Schools discontinue moral education

The Assistant Minister of Basic Education, Mr Moiseraele Goya, has acknowledged that his ministry is aware that moral education has been discontinued at senior secondary schools.
Responding to a question from Member of Parliament for Francistown South, Mr Winter Mmolotsi in Parliament, Mr Goya stated that he was nevertheless unable to discuss the matter since it was sub-judice.
Mr Mmolotsi had asked the minister why moral education had been discontinued at senior secondary schools.
He had also wanted an explanation of what had become of the teachers who were teaching the subject.
Mr Mmolotsi further wanted the ministry’s position regarding the subject at junior secondary schools. ENDS
