Midfielder, Lebogang Ditsele, is optimistic about his future with new club Highlands Park in the ABSA Premier Soccer League in South Africa.

Ditsele is yet to make a mark for his team, having only featured in a 4-1 loss against Supersport United.

He signed a three-year deal with the newly promoted club at the beginning of the seaon.

Speaking in an interview, the 20-year-old midfielder vowed to fight for his place in the team under new coach, Gordon Igesund.

Ditsele was confident he could overcome the challenges of playing in the PSL and become a hot property for Highlands Park.

“There is not much of difference in terms of training from what I am used to, even though I had a bit of struggle in my first two weeks.

But I have now adapted to their system,” the Mogobane born midfielder said.

Ditsele explained that he was adjusting well to life in South Africa and had support from the technical team and teammates.

He said the coach had advised him to work hard and wait for his chance.

“It is a bit of a challenge for me considering that I have been a first team player for most part of my career,” said Ditsele, who revealed his aspirations to play overseas.

His former coach at Gilport Lions, Paradzayi Mandivenga, said Tallie possessed the character and talent required to succeed in the PSL.

Mandivenga described Ditsele as a disciplined player.

“I constantly keep in touch with him and we always talk about his everyday football activities. I then advise him in any way I can,” the Lions coach explained.

Mandivenga noted that Ditsele competed for a place in the team against seasoned midfielders such as Thanduyise Khuboni and should therefore learn from them since he has got age on his side.

Mandivenga said Igesund would assist Ditsele to become a better player. ENDS
