No plans for office in Sowa
01 Nov 2016
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration does not have plans to set up an Information and Broadcasting office in Sowa Town.
This was said by the Assistant Minister of Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Thato Kwerepe, when responding to a question in parliament from Nata-Gweta MP, Mr Polson Majaga.
“Sowa Town is currently covered by our satellite office in Tutume, complimented by our Francistown regional office whenever needed,” said Mr Kwerepe.
These offices, assistant minister said fed both the Daily News and Radio Botswana, adding that “a Botswana Television crew is always made available when needed.”
Mr Majaga had asked Mr Kwerepe when the Department of Information and Broadcasting Services offices would be set up in Sowa Town for convenient coverage and to avoid dependence on the Francistown offices. ENDS
