 A young entrepreneur has showered the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development with praises for diligently undertaking its mandate of changing lives of disadvantaged youth to the positive.
Speaking in an interview with recently the Youth Development Fund (YDF) beneficiary, Mr Kabo Leepo, said the ministry funded him to the tune of P98 000 to turn his dream into a reality.
He said the funding allowed him to kick start a graphic design business: Ruzz Funky Investments.
The business he incepted in 2015 rendered general computer graphics, in addition to t-shirt printing, advertising and signage.
Mr Leepo said he developed love for computer graphics while he worked for different design companies where he acquired the proficiency, which then motivated him to start up his own business.
He said with the proceeds of his business, he was stirred to open up an internet café, adding that the two businesses complemented each other.
Mr Leepo said being the first of its kind in the village gave the business an impetus for a broader base of clientele.
However, the 24 year old said he deployed different marketing and advertising strategies to ensure the business remained buoyant.
He said his strategies proved to be working well because the community responds in the affirmative.
 “My clients are really appreciating my work and I remain upbeat that it will continue to penetrate the market worldwide,” he said.
He said patience, passion and hard work led to his success.
Apart from dreaming to be the leading graphic design company and operating branches nationwide, Mr Leepo also envisioned owning a shopping complex in order to reduce expenses incurred due to high rentals.
He encouraged his counterparts not to despair when times were hard but rather challenged them to treat obstacles as a learning curve.
He implored the youth to follow suit adding that they should not expect big profits when they start, but should concentrate more on growing the business.ENDS
