Botswana Tertiary Sports Association (BOTESSA) Bracket A has selected teams that will represent them at the BOTESSA championships billed for Francistown next weekend ahead of their counter parts, Bracket B and C.

The BOTESSA Bracket A top four games held in Molepolole over the weekend were meant to select top two teams that wiould represent the bracket at the championships. The final teams were selected in a round robin format to produce the winners.

In  ladies soccer, Serowe College of Education and Tonota College of Education will represent Bracket A at the championships while in the men’s side, Gaborone Institute of Health Sciences and Molepolole Institute of Health Sciences will form soccer teams that will represent.

Tlokweng College and Police College will represent ladies softball with Police College and Tonota College representing the men’s side.

Also, in the netball code, Police College and Tonota College became the top two teams that will be representing Bracket A. For Basketball, Police College and Tonota College will represent both ladies and men teams after dominating the games in several sporting codes to represent their bracket.

Teams were also formulated comprising individuals from different institutions for the following door codes; chess, badminton, darts, karate and table tennis.

BOTESSA public relations officer, Duncan Segabo said there was a lot of improvement and excitement for this year’s games. He attributed that to the fact that IHS  has since joined Bracket A for the first time this year.                            

BOTESSA Bracket A is made up of all colleges of education, IHSs and police colleges making up 10 institutions.

Bracket A will battle it out for the overall BOTESSA 2016 championship position with Bracket B (all universities) and Bracket C which constitutes all technical colleges and Brigades.

The competitions will be held in Francistown on October 22-23. ENDS
