Residents of Serowe will witnesses battle of  the  premiership teams, Miscellaneous and Green Lovers on the independence day.

Miscellaneous aka Tse Nala reached the BOT50 tournament final after beating the second division side Tsabothe 2-1 while the Mariners humiliated Serowe Vultures 5-0 on Saturday.

A total of 16 teams took part in the knock out tournament.  

Serowe BOT50 chairperson, Gaeelwe Kennekae said they did not experience any hiccups in the tournament.

Quizzed why they only chose football, particularly the male side, Kennekae  said they did not neglect  other sporting codes, but owing to budgetary and logistics constraints they  chose men football.

He explained that football facilities were readily available. Meanwhile, Miscellaneous gaffer, Russia Chaba said they were using the tournament to prepare for premiership game.

Coach Chaba said late payments of premiership price money had affected their preseason preparations as it is their main source of funds.

On one hand he said the postponement of the start of the league had worked for them. ENDS
