Botswana Tertiary Student Sport Association (BOTESSA) patron, Kgosi Puso has called on the association to display high levels of professionalism when undertaking their duties.

Speaking during BOTESSA’s annual general meeting in Serowe on Saturday, Kgosi Puso called on members and affiliates to protect the image of the association.

He warned that only them could make or break the association and called for prudent management of funds amongst a plethora of positives he wanted implemented.

Kgosi Puso advised BOTESSA members to abide by the values of the association such as teamwork and professionalism.

As part of taking the association to higher levels, Kgosi Puso called on the association to find alternative sources of funding so that their events could be fulfilled. Presenting a 2016 report of the executive to members, BOTESSA president, Moffatt Ramasotla said significant strides have been made to better the association.

Such moves are but not limited to Botswana Football Association’s inclusion of BOTESSA in its constitution. The BFA has also appointed Ramasotla into the BFA technical committee.
BOTESSA has also reached an agreement with Botswana Netball Association to develop and train netball officials for BOTESSA.

In their report, BOTESSA intends to partner with more organisations dealing with life issues. Already the association has court the likes of World Anti-Doping Agency and Botswana National Olympic Committee during their previous events.

To further increase numbers of affiliates, BOTESSA has approached Botswana Prisons College and Boitekanelo College with a view to join the association. Ba Isago College too is on the BOTESSA radar.

As part of creating awareness on the association, BOTESSA has increased funding for publicity arguing that branding of the association was of paramount importance. ENDS
