BotswanaPost introduces Bulk Payment
22 Sep 2016
BotswanaPost recently introduced a ‘Bulk Payment’ service on the renewal of vehicle licence registration.
A press release from BotswanaPost states that the service allows individuals and corporates with a fleet of five or more vehicles to make arrangements with the Post Office to renew the vehicle licence registrations of the fleet.
It states that this service conveniently provides the customer with the option to either drop off their registration books for renewal at the nearest Post Office or arrange for the Post Office to collect the registration books.
According to the release, renewal of vehicle registration has over the years proven to be one of the most highly consumed service in the post office hence the decision to roll it out to all the 128 branches including the recently three that were opened at select Sefalana stores.
“The demand for the service continues to grow and therefore has been extended to the recently opened post offices located within Sefalana stores,” states the release. The release states that bulk payment service offers a number of benefits over and above the convenience, adding that the service also provides customers with a solution during times of network outage as the post office will ensure that the transaction is processed as soon as the network resumes prior to collection.
BotswanaPost notes that it is optimistic about the service and that its reception will map a way forward for more channels to be introduced in the near future and the post anticipates a time where customers will be able to renew their vehicle registration licences through BotswanaPost Mobile App.
On the other hand, BotswanaPost reminds customers with licence registrations expiring end of September to renew to avoid the rush. Ends
