Assistant Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, also a member of parliament for Lobatse Advocate Sadique Kebonang says 2016 is a special year for Botswana and FNBB, as Botswana celebrates her Golden Jubilee and FNB Botswana celebrates her Silver Jubilee.
Speaking on September 18 after a 25 kilometre sponsored walk which started at FNBB to Pioneer Border gate then back to FNBB organised by Lobatse FNB branch employees, he applauded FNBB Lobatse employees for their efforts to raise funds to help those in need.
Advocate Kebonang said the FNB staff are living and celebrating one of the pillars of Vision 2016-A Compassionate,Just and Caring Nation.
FNBB staff across the country celebrated golden and silver jubilees, with a 25 kilometre walk in efforts to raise P25 000 for charity.
He urged those who will be receiving the donations to use them wisely and prudently so that FNBB continues to give back to the community that they serve; adding that their independence would be made special by being thought of by FNBB. First National Bank manager in Lobatse, Mr Samuel Mmelesi said the beneficiaries are Sekhutlane Primary School in the Good Hope/Mabule area.
He said they noticed the need at the school last year when they donated school shoes and clothes for students, therefore he said this year they are donating money to help the school.
Mr Mosimanegape Sebeelo a teacher at Sekhutlane Primary School appreciated the donation and said it will change lives at that school and said FNBB staff will be blessed as they continue to help the needy not only at Sekhutlane but everywhere there is a need.
Mr Sebeelo noted that this is not first time they recieved donations from First National Bank staff , as they donated 276 pairs of school shoes to students last year. Ends
