The annual Laff-A-Lot comedy tour starts in Palapye on May 31 at Cresta Botsalo Hotel.

It will then proceed to Selibe Phikwe on June 1, while the final part is scheduled for Gaborone on June 7.

This will be the third time that the Laff-A-Lot comedy crew is taking comedians on the road, having started in 2011.

In an interview, the crew's medial liaison officer, Gaolathe Kediemetse said the aim of the expedition was to inspire and motivate more comedians to work hard and create a professional comedy sector in Botswana.

He also said prior to the final day of the tour in Gaborone, the crew is planning on conducting some workshops which are to be spearheaded by South African comedians for benchmarking.

Top Botswana comedians Bafana ‘Ribcracker’ Letsatsi and Modiri ‘Mod’ Keseabetswe will undertake the tour.

The 1st runner up from the 2012 President’s Day competitions Shigah ‘Stokie’ Sendimbah, his follower Oefile ‘Mawee’ Mokgware and top 10 finalist, Shima ‘Jerusalema’ Nnanaakoko will aslo accompany the crew on the tour.

Renowned Goodwill ‘Goodie the Badd’ Tlhokwe will also be on the line up.Ends
