Rhinos eye win over Cheetahs

USN UB Rhinos head coach Mooketsi Ramakele says his team will go all out for victory against log-leaders BDF Cheetahs tomorrow (Saturday) in order to secure a place in the Super Rugby final.
The match will be held at SSKB Stadium at 3:30 p.m. Rhinos need victory in order to win a tussle against Gaborone Hogs for second position as the round-robin draws to a conclusion this weekend. The top two in this season's four-team Super Rugby competition will qualify for the final.
Cheetahs are currently top of the log with 19 points and are assured of a place in the final. Rhinos are sitting on second place with 14 points while Hogs are third with 10 points. The fourth team, LKC Canon Jaguars, has three points only and is out of the contest.
Ramakele has predicated a tough match but stated that his team was ready to condemn Cheetahs to their first defeat in Super Rugby.
Speaking in an interview after his team beat Hogs last Saturday, Ramakele said they will use speed to attack Cheetahs and power to dominate scrums.
“The match is going to be difficult because Cheetahs are a very good team. But Cheetahs scrums are weaker than ours, so we will work on overpowering them and denying them time with the ball in their hands. If we can do that then we will have a chance,” Ramakele said.
The Rhinos boss said the young players they have integrated in the side at the beginning of the season have now gained experience and can take on anybody.
“We have created depth and the guys have now guys have now confident that they can beat any team. This is a plus for us. We have also worked on the guys' mental strength to ensure that they are able to handle pressure,” Ramakele said.
Rhinos are in good form, having won their last two Super Rugby matches. They defeated Hogs 43-17 and Jaguars 20-12 respectively.
Cheetahs are on the other hand unbeaten in Super Rugby having won three matches and drawing one. They defeated Jaguars 19-6 last weekend.
Another match will see Hogs taking on Jaguars at Livingstone Kolobeng College. The match will start at 3:30 p.m. Ends
