The second edition of Hi-range 4x4 Experience and Outdoor Expo will be held at Lion Park Resort in Gaborone on August 27-28. 

Addressing the media, Sleek brand marketing's event organiser Ama Moilwa said the primary intention of the event was to bridge the promotion gap of clients looking for 4x4 vehicles.

She said various upmarket car shows had been held before,  of which mostly had catered for luxury vehicles and sedans.

Therefore, she explained that  the Hi-range experience would bring an outdoor feel encompassed with a breathtaking experience.

Moilwa explained that the event would be in two sequences,.

The first day will cater for car dealers who will give spectators the opportunity to test drive the vehicles, while the second the second day will be a 4x4 challenge.

She explained that test drives would be conducted by qualified instructors provided by dealers. 

Moilwa noted that the reason the event was named Hi-range 4x4 Experience and Outdoor Expo was to expose those who own 4x4 vehicles but had never used them to their full potential.

“It will not be a competition but a way of people understanding the traits of every 4x4 on the market,” she said.

Moilwa also mentioned that there would be two categories for this year’s edition.

Unlike last year, she said this time around modified 4x4 would be filtered into their own class and the same with stock standard production 4x4's.

She said the 4x4 challenge would take place with ten obstacles, which would vary from donga, sand and mud. ENDS
