10 Aug 2016

Department of Forestry and Range Resources cannot relocate its offices from Francistown to Masunga due to resource limitation particularly staffing capacity, office accommodation and transport.
This was said by the Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Mr Tshekedi Khama when answering a question in Parliament on Tuesday.
He however said Francistown City was centrally located, and this enables the department to provide services to more clients in the North East District.
“My Ministry is continually exploring more ways to provide services cost effectively within the prevailing resource constraints,” he said. Tati West MP, Mr Biggie Butale had wanted to know when the regional coordinator, Forestry and Range Resources will relocate from Francistown to the district in order to bring services closer to the people.ENDS
